GHB Addiction and Withdrawal Forum Rules

Where is it? http://groups.msn.com/GHBaddiction

Rules are subject to addition or change

1

Subject Matter

This message board is intended to help GHB/GBL/BD addicts and those who feel they may be addicted to GHB/GBL/BD. This particular addiction and withdrawal has very specific symptoms, and we feel it is important for such afflicted ones to be able to share their experiences with each other.

DO NOT participate in either the chats or message boards with the intent to discuss other subjects. This is a very specific board with a very specific audience.

NO "PRO-GHB" CONVERSATIONS ALLOWED.

2

Medical Advice

If you are not in a position to offer medical advice - DO NOT!  Referrals to detox facilities can be made by emailing Trinka or filling out the form at Help for addiction. We are still working on a comprehensive list of facilities. Know of such a facility? PLEASE email <top of rules>

3

Unacceptable Language and Behavior
Respect toward other Chat users is expected at all times. This means try not to make anyone in the chat room mad or angry. Also DO NOT try to impersonate anyone in the chat room.

While we try to honor freedom of speech, certain language and behavior will not be tolerated. We frown upon comments that could be considered slanderous, defamatory, false, indecent, lewd, insulting or violent. We do not allow those that are obscene, pornographic, abusive, threatening, harassing, or in violation of the law.

Comments, images and gestures of a profane, obscene, pornographic, or vulgar nature are not allowed in the Chat room. Any person posting such material may be removed from the server and may be refused access in the future.<top of rules>

4

Personal Disparagement (Flaming)
Personal disparagement or "Flaming" (insulting another participant's intellect, physical appearance, etc.), slander, or any other form of direct or indirect personal attack is unacceptable behavior and may result in either a warning, and possibly temporary or permanent removal from the server.
<top of rules>

5

False Representation
Any participant who falsely represents themselves -- either by their words or their actions -- as a Chat monitor, a medical doctor,  or law enforcement official is subject to immediate dismissal, without warning, from the server and may not be allowed to return.
<top of rules>

6

Enforcing Chat Rules and Regulations
A number of individuals have been assigned the task of monitoring the chat room

These monitors have the right to decide whether or not questionable material is inappropriate, and to take appropriate action if necessary.

Standard policy for monitors suggests two warnings to the individual(s) in question before being booted. However, in extreme cases, it is the monitor's discretion as to which approach is best.<top of rules>

7

Other:
  • Posting ads for commercial or non-commercial services ( including other chats ) is not permitted.
  • Flooding a room with annoying or duplicate messages or just random garbage is termed flooding and is not allowed
  • DO NOT USE ALL CAPS!
  • Serious Trouble in the Room?
    If you are experiencing trouble with a chatter, please note the chatter's handle or nickname, when the problem occurred and
    email a manager. Please feel free to click on the user's handle and select ignore.
  • DO NOT: Create chatroom nicknames that are sexually explicit, insulting to other chatters, vulgar or disrupting in anyway to the harmony of the room. We understand that beliefs may differ, but offensive User ID's are not the way to voice your stance on a given topic.
  • DO NOT: Give out personal information in a public forum. Chatrooms are great places to meet people online. However in a public chatroom you need to take basic safety precautions.
