I really didn't know much about GHB until this past weekend. My boyfriend and I went out with his brother and girlfriend to an after hours club. We were drinking and having a good time. I realized that I had had too much to drink, so I left the nightclub knowing that my partner would be home in just an hour or so. Well, the next thing I realized was his brother waking me up telling me to get dressed, that Eric was in the hospital. Let me tell you folks, walking into that emergency room and seeing the love of my life on a ventilator, was a bit more then I could take. The doctors told us that the odds were 80% recover fine; 20 % don't.

Now if that isn't enough to scare you, think hard before using GHB. He laid on the respirator for almost 5 hours. I thought I was going to lose the most important person in my life. Not something that shouldn't happen to anyone, let alone my 33 year old pal! It turns out that he took a drink out of a Gatorade bottle that he thought was water, but was that nasty, GHB. The whole situation seemed so surreal. I kept thinking "what if he is one of those in the 20% that don't make it?" I will never forget how lifeless his face looked that morning, coupled with the sounds of the respirator breathing for him.

FOLKS-STAY AWAY FROM THIS CRAP! WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO INGEST FLOOR STRIPPER WITH DRAIN CLEANER!!!

And to my best friend and partner, I Love You Eric, and so does everyone else! We want you around for a very, very long time.

Love,

George

I am doing a term paper for a Drug studies class on GHB. A friend of mine was out with some of her other friends and they slipped her some GHB in the water she was drinking. She had a bad reaction but luckily a "true friend" of hers brought her home and she did not have a really bad reaction to the drug. She Hallucinated and was very anxiety stricken. She found out later from the friend who brought her home that the others had put GHB in her drink when she went to the bathroom. From what I've read I guess she's lucky she was only drinking water that night she probably would have had a worst reaction.

I was a victim of GHB 3 weeks ago after leaving my drink for only a few seconds. I have lost some of my memory and think that it stinks that people can do this.
