JAIL TIME IS NO TIME FOR GHB WITHDRAWAL SYNDROME!!!

Recently a very good friend of mine was sentenced to 6 months in jail, and after he got there started going through “G” withdrawals, and I believe that your quick response with the vital information that the jail needed to understand what he was experiencing, more than likely is going to save his life. I cannot express my utmost gratitude enough -- THANK YOU for what you are doing. I pray that Jeff will be able to make it through this horrible withdrawal with the least amount of suffering. God Bless You!!!!!

NOTE: GHB detox information was provided to the jail after contact from his mother. The captain over the jail in question was indeed concerned and promised that the medical unit would follow through with his case and medical needs. Even with that promise, we never know what exactly that will mean. We’ve been through this many times with treatment centers and jails and typically the person may seem “sort of OK” at the 3 or 4 day mark and they decide it wasn’t that big of a deal and stop medication or stop monitoring them closely, etc. Problem is---days 4-6 are often the most crucial as that is when the hallucinations and psychosis may peak, making them a danger to themselves and others. Around day 7 is when you can slack off IF they haven’t had a tough time up to that point. Detox from GHB is actually 10-14 days, unlike another other drug!

Detoxing from any addictive drug could also give rise to withdrawal symptoms, and you should know that withdrawal can be difficult, although it can eventually be overcome.
